Irrigation Technician Level 1
Pay $14.00 - $18.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Irrigation Technicians for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for the maintenance of irrigation systems and have familiarity with industry and manufacture standards and practice these standards along with adherence to company policies. They are proficient in inspecting irrigation systems, troubleshooting problems, identifying root cause and making repairs in a timely manner. Irrigation Technicians conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems. They are proficient in replacing valves and controllers and are knowledgeable in programming and operating a wide variety of controllers. They communicate effectively with staff, clients, and the public. Irrigation Technicians must hold a valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record.
Skills & Experience Required
- Valid Arizona driver's license, clean MVR
- Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate verbally and in writing with customers, co-workers and supervisors
- Fluent in English, bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
- Demonstrate ability to effectively manage workload and meet time requirements
- Must be able to complete steady physical work; ability to bend, twist, and lift
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Experienced in inspecting irrigation systems, troubleshooting problems, identifying root cause and making repairs in a timely manner
- Experienced in conducting and recording detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems
- Proficient in replacement of valves and controllers.
- Knowledgeable in programming and operating a wide variety of controllers.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturer specifications for installation of irrigation components
- Capable of installation of backflows up to 1"
- Basic knowledge of low voltage lighting, 110 voltage systems, and testing equipment

Irrigation Technician Level 2
Pay $16.00 - $22.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Irrigation Technicians for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for the maintenance of irrigation systems and have familiarity with industry and manufacture standards and practice these standards along with adherence to company policies. They are proficient in inspecting irrigation systems, troubleshooting problems, identifying root cause and making repairs in a timely manner. Irrigation Technicians conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems. They are proficient in replacing valves and controllers and are knowledgeable in programming and operating a wide variety of controllers. They communicate effectively with staff, clients, and the public. Irrigation Technicians must hold a valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record. Level 2 Irrigation Technicians have significant prior work experience in a similar position. They utilize their work knowledge and experience to provide on the job training and assistance to Level 1 Technicians on jobs which necessitate knowledge outside of the normal scope of duty. Level 2 Technicians are able to complete irrigation assessments as well as generate reports and estimates for clients.

- Minimum 2 years’ irrigation experience

- Must be able to provide mentorship and training to less experienced technicians when applicable
- Experienced in inspecting irrigation systems, troubleshooting problems, identifying root cause and making repairs in a timely manner
- Experienced in conducting and recording detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems
- Proficient in replacement of valves and controllers
- Knowledgeable in programming and operating a wide variety of controllers
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturer specifications for installation of irrigation components
- Capable of installation of backflows up to 2"
- Thorough knowledge of low voltage lighting, 110 voltage systems, and testing equipment
