Arbor Groundsmen Level 1
Pay $12.00 - $15.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Groundsmen for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for performing ground arbor tasks as dictated by job assignments from the company. They are proficient in performing all arbor ground labor tasks and make use of many tools and power equipment in order to complete their assigned tasks and are expected to do so in a safe and knowledgeable manner. Groundsmen ensure sites, streets, and grounds are clear of debris and refuse from arbor tasks, and load debris and refuse into trucks. They communicate effectively with lead people regarding job assignments and the progress of assigned tasks.
Skills & Experience Required
- 1-2 years landscape or tree experience
- Demonstrate knowledge of common tree identification and skills to properly prune each tree species
- Demonstrate knowledge of types of tree work laid out by ANSI A300 standards
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor
- Must have physical ability to perform raking, pulling and dragging of brush
- Must be able to complete steady physical work; ability to bend, twist, and lift heavy loads
- Must have ability to lift a minimum of 75lbs or more on a regular basis
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to safely operate all tools and equipment common to tree service including hand tools, chainsaws, and chippers
- Must have reliable transportation

Arbor Groundsmen Level 2
Pay $15.00 - $20.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Groundsmen for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for performing ground arbor tasks as dictated by job assignments from the company. They are proficient in performing all arbor ground labor tasks and make use of many tools and power equipment in order to complete their assigned tasks and are expected to do so in a safe and knowledgeable manner. They have the skills necessary to safely and knowledgably sharpen chains, operate the chipper, greasing, etc. Groundsmen ensure sites, streets, and grounds are clear of debris and refuse from arbor tasks, and load debris and refuse into trucks. They communicate effectively with lead people regarding job assignments and the progress of assigned tasks. Level 2 Groundmen must have previous work experience in a similar position and hold a valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record.
Skills & Experience Required
- 1-2 years landscape or tree experience, must have previous tree service operations experience
- Valid Arizona driver's license, clean MVR
- Demonstrate knowledge of common tree identification, tree issues, and skills to properly prune each tree species
- Demonstrate knowledge of types of tree work laid out by ANSI A300 standards
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor
- Must have physical ability to perform raking, pulling and dragging of brush
- Must be able to complete steady physical work; ability to bend, twist, and lift heavy loads

Skilled Climber
Pay $18.00 - $30.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Skilled Climbers for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are experienced team players with strong leadership skills, and the ability to efficiently meet job quality and time requirements. They have a general working knowledge of tree ID and are proficient with all tools common to tree care operations including climbing rope and saddle, chainsaws, stump grinder, chipper, pruning tools, etc. Climbers have a basic understanding of tree pruning concepts. It is preferred for Climbers to have previous rigging experience.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous rigging experience preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge of common tree identification, tree issues, and skills to properly prune each tree species
- Demonstrate knowledge of types of tree work laid out by ANSI A300 standards
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor
- Must be able to complete steady physical work; ability to bend, twist, and lift heavy loads
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Demonstrate high safety standards and sound tree risk assessment skills
- Must have basic knowledge of proper climbing techniques and procedures
- Must be able to properly maintain, prepare, and safely operate all tools and equipment common to tree service including climbing rope and saddle, hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, stump grinder, chippers, and pruning tools
- Must have knowledge of basic knots plus Weaver Knot, Clove Hitch Knot, and Gilhooligan Knot.
- Must be able to operate various types of lift equipment and communicate with crane operator
- Must have reliable transportation
