Arbor Groundsmen Level 1
Pay starting @ $16.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Groundmen for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for performing ground arbor tasks as dictated by job assignments from the company. They are proficient in performing all arbor ground labor tasks and make use of many tools and power equipment in order to complete their assigned tasks and are expected to do so in a safe and knowledgeable manner. Groundmen ensure sites, streets, and grounds are clear of debris and refuse from arbor tasks, and load debris and refuse into trucks. They communicate effectively with lead people regarding job assignments and the progress of assigned tasks.
Skills & Experience Required
- 1-2 years landscape or tree experience
- Demonstrate knowledge of common tree identification and skills to properly prune each tree species
- Demonstrate knowledge of types of tree work laid out by ANSI A300 standards
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor
- Must have physical ability to perform raking, pulling and dragging of brush
- Must be able to complete steady physical work; ability to bend, twist, and lift heavy loads
- Must have ability to lift a minimum of 75lbs or more on a regular basis
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to safely operate all tools and equipment common to tree service including hand tools, chainsaws, and chippers
- Must have reliable transportation

Arbor Groundsmen Level 2
Pay starting @ 18.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Groundmen for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for performing ground arbor tasks as dictated by job assignments from the company. They are proficient in performing all arbor ground labor tasks and make use of many tools and power equipment in order to complete their assigned tasks and are expected to do so in a safe and knowledgeable manner. They have the skills necessary to safely and knowledgably sharpen chains, operate the chipper, greasing, etc. Groundmen ensure sites, streets, and grounds are clear of debris and refuse from arbor tasks, and load debris and refuse into trucks. They communicate effectively with lead people regarding job assignments and the progress of assigned tasks. Level 2 Groundmen must have previous work experience in a similar position and hold a valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record.
Skills & Experience Required
- 1-2 years landscape or tree experience, must have previous tree service operations experience
- Valid Arizona driver's license, clean MVR
- Demonstrate knowledge of common tree identification, tree issues, and skills to properly prune each tree species
- Demonstrate knowledge of types of tree work laid out by ANSI A300 standards
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor

Skilled Climber
Pay starting @ $22.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Skilled Climbers for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are experienced team players with strong leadership skills, and the ability to efficiently meet job quality and time requirements. They have a general working knowledge of tree ID and are proficient with all tools common to tree care operations including climbing rope and saddle, chainsaws, stump grinder, chipper, pruning tools, etc. Climbers have a basic understanding of tree pruning concepts. It is preferred for Climbers to have previous rigging experience.

- Previous rigging experience preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge of common tree identification, tree issues, and skills to properly prune each tree species
- Demonstrate knowledge of types of tree work laid out by ANSI A300 standards
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor
- Must be able to complete steady physical work; ability to bend, twist, and lift heavy loads
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Demonstrate high safety standards and sound tree risk assessment skills
- Must have basic knowledge of proper climbing techniques and procedures
- Must be able to properly maintain, prepare, and safely operate all tools and equipment common to tree service including climbing rope and saddle, hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, stump grinder, chippers, and pruning tools
- Must have knowledge of basic knots plus Weaver Knot, Clove Hitch Knot, and Gilhooligan Knot.
- Must be able to operate various types of lift equipment and communicate with crane operator

Arbor Foreman
Pay starting at $25.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Arbor Foreman for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for training, working alongside, and coordinating work as required to lead crew in safe, efficient manner using proper pruning practices. They are proficient in modern work techniques including climbing, rigging, tree felling, crane work, loader and chipper operations, pruning and trimming, tree support systems, truck skills, stump grinding, and meticulous clean up. Foremen are able to successfully utilize computer-based system to manage fleet information. They must be able to safely and knowledgably operate lifts. Foremen must be able to communicate effectively with their crew, clients, and the public. They must hold a valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record. It is preferred for Foremen to hold ISA Tree Worker, ALCA and CPR Certifications.
Skills & Experience Required
- Must have minimum of 3 years’ tree service experience
- Must have a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience
- Valid Arizona driver's license, clean MVR
- Demonstrate knowledge of common tree identification, tree issues, and skills to properly prune each tree species. Experience with palm trimming a plus.
- Demonstrate knowledge of types of tree work laid out by ANSI A300 standards
- Must be able to effectively manage job routes and regularly report to project manager throughout the day
- Must be able to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English and Spanish
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Demonstrate high safety standards and sound tree risk assessment skills
- Must be able properly maintain, prepare, and safely operate all tools and equipment common to tree service including climbing rope and saddle, hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, stump grinder, chippers, and pruning tools
- Ability to inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is serviced as needed
- Must have knowledge of basic knots plus Weaver Knot, Clove Hitch Knot, and Gilhooligan Knot.
- Must be able to onboard new crew members, including new foremen and crew leaders; assess strengths, and provide mentorship
- Demonstrate ability to supervise and train crews, assign daily tasks to crew members, and lead weekly safety meetings
- Must be able to manage material inventory and place product orders with approval
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and similar programs
- ISA Tree Worker, ALCA and/or CPR Certifications preferred
